Abstrak

Kegiatan Pengabdian berbentuk workshop ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada Mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris dan Guru di SD 205/IV Kota Jambi. Model yang ditawarkan penulis dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah PBL-CG (Problem Based Learning with Communicative Games). Model ini dikembangkan dari model PBL yang terdahulu (PBL) untuk pengajaran Bahasa Inggris di Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam workshop ini meliputi tiga hal, yaitu; 1)menetapkan masalah prioritas mitra, 2)justifikasi penentuan masalah prioritas, dan 3)prosedur kerja. Prosedur kerja meliputi tiga tahapan, yakni; persiapan, pelaksanaan dan pelaporan. Kegiatan workshop dilaksanakan selama dua hari bertempat di SD N 205/IV Kota Jambi. Adapun hasil dari workshop ini adalah guru-guru Bahasa Inggris SDN 205/IV Kota Jambi terlihat sangat antusias dan berjalan lancar. Materi pelatihan dapat diserap dengan baik oleh peserta terihat dengan meningkatnya nilai rata-rata peserta pada evaluasi post test. Sehingga para peserta dapat menyusun RPP Bahasa Inggris berbasis yang berbasis Kurikulum 2013 dengan menerapkan model PBL-CG dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di sekolah beserta rubrik penilaiannya.
