Belajar Nilai Kehidupan dalam Kelompok Musik Gamelan Jawa pada Remaja di Yogyakarta

Abstrak

Life values are important in the development of individuals, including those in the adolescent stage of development. This study aims to see how adolescents' participation in Yogyakarta in Javanese gamelan music groups can also be a process of learning life values. The research was conducted from March to April 2024 in Yogyakarta on 100 research subjects. The subjects were teenagers who were members of a Javanese gamelan music group. Data was collected by distributing an open-ended questionnaire. The results showed that teenagers' participation in Javanese gamelan music groups provides learning on various life values. The learning includes intrapersonal values such as patience, discipline, focus, perseverance, and self-regulation. In addition, learning also occurs in the interpersonal area through cooperation, empathy, respect for others, and social harmony.
