Efektivitas Teknik Self Management Untuk Meningkatkan Kedisiplinan Pada Peserta Didik Kelas VIII Di SMP Negeri 2 Japara Kabupaten Kuningan

Discipline is an individual's mental attitude that reflects obedience and submission based on awareness in carrying out their duties and obligations to achieve certain goals. This disciplinary problem occurred in one of the schools in Kuningan Regency, namely at SMP Negeri 2 Japara. This type of research is Quasi-Experimental by design Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study was all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Japara, Kuningan Regency, totaling 111 students with a sample of class VIII C as the control group and VIII D as the experimental group selected using techniques Purposive Sampling. The collection technique in this research uses questionnaires, interviews and documentation. This research was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of the technique manage your selft to improve student discipline at SMP Negeri 2 Japara, Kuningan Regency. The research results showed that after being given treatment there are differences between the control group and the experimental group. Based on test independent sampel t-test The sig value obtained. (2-tailed) of 0.000. Which means the sig value. (2-tailed) smaller than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). Thus, the implementation of the technique self management effectively used in the experimental group to improve the discipline of class VIII students with the N-gain test score for the experimental class being 64%.
