Abstract

The low of students’ interest in reading and writing ability poses the main reason for carrying out this activity. The target of the activity was 13 students of SDN Lembung, Galis-Pamekasan sub-district. Elementary school is the initial education for developing children's literacy skills, because in the early phase children will be given activities to stimulate the development of listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities. Therefore, the problem that partners currently have is how partners improve literacy in reading and writing for children aged 7-11 years. The purpose of this service is to increase literacy in school-age children in Lembung village, Galis-Pamekasan sub-district. The service is carried out in Lembung, Galis-Pamekasan sub-district, held in December 2022. The implementation method used in this service is in the form of observation, socialization, and assistance and evaluation methods. The results obtained from the literacy program for school-age children suggests that children's reading and writing abilities are increasing.
