The problem in the research is that the character education of students at SDN 1 Jatibaru can still be said to be not good. The aim of this research is to find out how affective learning is applied in instilling character education in class V students at SDN 1 Jatibaru. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study approach. This research was carried out at SDN 1 Jatibaru, the subjects in this research included the principal of SDN 1 Jatibaru, class V teacher and class V students. Data collection methods in this research used observation, interviews, documentation and data analysis carried out by triangulation, namely by examine the degree of confidence in research findings from several data collection techniques and examine the degree of confidence in several data sources using the same source. method. The results of the research show that the application of affective learning strategies is quite effective in instilling character education in students by using exemplary patterns and habituation patterns. Aspects of character education applied by students include religion, nationalism, independence, cooperation/mutual cooperation and integrity.
