Abstract

This article highlights the importance of the practicum method in learning biology, especially in teaching complex concepts that require in-depth understanding. The lab method allows students to conduct experiments, observations and analysis, which enriches the learning experience and develops scientific skills. However, obstacles such as limited laboratory facilities and students' lack of skills in using practicum tools are often encountered. Technology integration in the practicum method can be an effective solution. Fat Secret and Google Workspace applications are integrated to analyze daily calorie intake based on Body Mass Index (BMI). The implementation of this technology enables more interactive and data-driven learning, and helps students understand healthy eating patterns and improve their health. The use of practicum methods integrated with technology is expected to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of learning. Students not only understand biology concepts better but also develop healthy living habits and improve their academic performance. Thus, the application of information and communication technology (ICT) in practicum methods is an important step to improve the quality of science education.
