Abstract

The implementation of the Curriculum Merdeka in Senior High Schools has generated many pros and cons, especially in learning of science. This study aims to explore the understanding and get feedback from science teachers on the Curriculum Merdeka policy implemented in schools. This research is a qualitative research with survey method. The research subjects were science teachers (Biology, Physics, Chemistry). The research instruments used questionnaires, interview sheets, and observation sheets of the science learning process. Data analysis was done by reducing data and presenting it descriptively. The results of the study confirmed that the science clump teachers accepted the government's policy of changing the 2013 Curriculum to the Curriculum Merdeka. Changes in the science learning process in the Curriculum Merdeka are quite significant. Science subjects that were originally taught separately are integrated as science subjects in phase E, besides that the amount of science field material taught to students is reduced. So, Science subject matter becomes less detailed and less systematic.
