Abstract

The method of learning greatly affects the high and low levels of a learning outcome in each student. In research in Class IV this uses the method of Realistic Mathematics Education in learning to improve student learning outcomes. By using this method, students are expected to be able to be directed to improve their learning outcomes. But in its application there are still some inactive or lazy students. Then here the researchers conducted class action research (PTK) using the Kemmis Tanggart model that was implemented in the cycle and where every cycle there is an action. This research subject was carried out to all students of Class IV which totaled 9 students consisting of 3 male students and 6 female students. The study aims to look at the success of the learning outcomes of students of grade IV on mathematical subjects of flat building materials. As for the outcome is on the initial data until cycle 2 is very different, i.e. the original data has an average of 52, then cycle 1 has a average of 60,5 and the last of cycles 2 has a mean of 76.1. This method is used very effectively.
