Game-Based Approach: Seberapa Besar Peningkatan Kemampuan Dasar Permainan Tenis Lapangan Anak Usia 10 – 12 Tahun?

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of basic skills of court tennis games for children aged 10-12 years through game-based approach training. The research method was carried out by experimental method with one group pre-test post-test design. The sample consisted of 6 children. The sampling technique uses purposive random sampling with criteria (1) men aged 10-12 years (2) actively participating in training at the club for at least 1 year (3) the condition of children is physically and mentally healthy (4) appropriate facilities and infrastructure. Data collection is carried out with ITN Asessmenet On Court during pre-test and post-test. Exercise was carried out as many as 16 meetings with a frequency of exercise four times a week. The data analysis technique in this study used paired sample T-test with a significance level of 0.05 using the help of SPSS 26 for the entire data analysis process. The results of the study were the effect of training using a game-based approach on improving the basic ability of court tennis games for children aged 10-12 years as evidenced by the value of ttest = 65.19 > the value of ttable = 2.570 and the significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. There was an increase in the basic ability of court tennis for children aged 10-12 years with an increase of 48.8 with an average score on the pre-test result of 151.3 and an average score on the post-test result of 200.1. In the pre-test, it can be seen from the average score of the children showing that they are on ITN 8 (reactional) and after the post-test their average score is on ITN 7 (intermediate). So, it was concluded that the game-based approach training has a significant influence on improving the basic ability of court tennis games for children aged 10-12 years.
