Abstract

This study aims to determine the perceptions of parents regarding traffic ethics education for children aged 5-6 years. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive quantitative methods. The population in this study was 51 parents who had children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten/PAUD throughout Sukosari Village. The sampling technique in this study used random sampling using the slovin formula and found a total sample of 33 respondents. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire with a 4-point Likert scale. Meanwhile, the data were analyzed using descriptive statistical data and obtained a result of 51.5% in the negative category, which means that parents reject or disagree with the existence of traffic ethics education for children aged 5-6 years. Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that further researchers can develop this research by further examining the factors that can influence parents’ perceptions of traffic ethics education for children aged 5-6 years.
